Where Is Lanya Elden Ring Quest Location and Exploration Guide
Tracking down missing non-player characters in Elden Ring can often lead Tarnished adventurers through complex and melancholic storylines across the Lands Between. One early mystery involves Diallos Hoslow, a noble warrior searching desperately for his loyal servant, Lanya. Understanding where to find Lanya's location helps players advance Diallos' narrative and experience one of the game's tragic side quests.
Starting the Questline at Roundtable Hold
Before heading out to search the open world, players should first trigger the quest by visiting the Roundtable Hold. Inside the central hub, speak with Diallos Hoslow to hear about his missing servant who has vanished unexpectedly. He expresses worry regarding her safety and asks if you have encountered her during your journey.
Exhausting all dialogue options with Diallos establishes the backstory necessary for the encounter. Once this conversation concludes, he will depart from the hub area to look for her himself. Players can then transition to the region of Liurnia of the Lakes to begin the physical search.
Finding Lanya's Location in Liurnia of the Lakes
To locate Lanya, travel to the flooded ruins situated in the central waters of Liurnia. The fastest route is spawning at the Academy Gate Town Site of Grace and heading slightly northwest into the shallow water. As you approach the designated location, you will hear Diallos crying out in grief over a nearby structure.
Lanya can be found lying atop some stone rubble surrounded by shallow water. Unfortunately for the noble knight, Lanya has already been slain by a hostile Recusant from Volcano Manor. Diallos stands beside her corpse, openly lamenting her death and swearing vengeance against those responsible.
The Outcome and Continuing Diallos' Story
Interacting with Diallos at this spot allows players to listen to his vows of revenge against the assassins. After discussing the tragic event, returning to the Roundtable Hold will reveal Diallos' brief re-appearance before he tracks the killers. This pivotal moment sets him on a path that leads directly toward Volcano Manor and eventually Jarburg.
Exploring this storyline highlights the dark undertones present throughout the game's environmental storytelling. Finding Lanya is essential for players who wish to fully complete Diallos' character arc and earn unique gear rewards later in their playthrough. Careful navigation around Academy Gate Town ensures you will not miss this memorable encounter.
